Welcome to Steve and Andy's 7 in 7 Blog!

The purpose of this interweb place is to tell family, friends, colleagues and supporters about the lad’s progress before, during and after their marathon challenge and to allow sponsors to donate directly via our PayPal link on the right-hand side.

 If you don’t know too much about it, the plan is that Steve and Andy will set off from Glasgow on Sunday 24th March to run 195 miles, finishing in Blackpool on Saturday 30^thMarch, thereby running the equivalent of a 7 marathons in 7 days.

They have set a target of raising £10,000, with funds being used in three ways;

1.    To support Brian House Children’s Hospice

2.    To support Cancer Research 

3.   To help purchase much needed training equipment for the BJFF U8 Blades and their participation in a youth football event in Wales

Steve and Andy are investing a huge amount of time and effort into their preparations, running on average 60 miles a week at the moment, however this will intensify as the run comes ever closer.

In recognition of their commitment, we would be massively grateful for any contribution to the fund raising target - nothing is too small, and of course we won’t argue over larger amounts either!

We shall be organising fund raising events building up to the 24th March including car boot sales, football cards, supermarket bag packing and sponsored events by the under-8 players themselves.

In addition, we have also set ourselves the target of finding a corporate main sponsor to patron our challenge.

So, bookmark this page and tell all your friends about it - more traffic not only means more visible support for Steve and Andy, it also provides a more attractive proposition for sponsors, all of whom can have their details on our pages if they so desire.
